5. SWANSWATER (Stirling) A week of very changeable weather saw anglers having to compete with some demanding fishing conditions. The start of the week was warm and sunny with a slight breeze, despite the bright sun the fish remained very active with most being caught at a depth of around 3 feet. With the arrival of thunder storms and muggy weather the fish became less interested in feeding and were found 4 to 5 feet down, mostly being tempted on lures such as Cormorant and Dancer. Towards the end of the week the cooler breeze and drizzly rain freshened things up and the fish became active again, by Sunday they were feeding right on the surface with dries doing exceptionally well. Traditional wets, especially Bibio have had good success throughout the week. A large number of Browns were giving anglers some great sport with the majority being caught around the bridge area.
